My Happy Little World"

My name is Shihab, and I  worked as an accountant. Life was busy, full of numbers and deadlines. But everything changed in the best way after I met Rahana. She’s a strong, caring woman and works as a bank employee at Bank of Baroda. We both came together through second marriage, and now, five beautiful years have passed.

Our greatest joy is our little son, Adam. He is 2.5 years old now—our little star, full of laughter and life. He looks just like me—not just in his face, but even in his playful nature and expressions.

When Adam was born, both Rahana and I took care of him together. Rahana took six months of unpaid leave after delivery. Once she returned to work, I made a life-changing decision. I resigned from my job to take care of our son full-time. It wasn't easy, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Now, my days are filled with joy and simple happiness. I play with Adam, sleep next to him, and watch him grow every moment. He loves his toy cars and little bicycle. His favorite thing is watching cartoons and playing cartoon games on the phone. Whenever I step outside, he follows me—if I don’t take him, he cries. He’s deeply attached to me, and I love him more than words can say.

Every evening, we go together to pick up Rahana from the bank. She’s amazing—she finishes all the housework before leaving for her job so our evenings can be calm and family-focused.

My father-in-law also stays with us. He’s part of our small family, though he is ill with liver cirrhosis. We try to care for him the best we can. Adam brings joy and light to his life too.

Today, I’m not just a father. I’m a full-time friend, guardian, and playmate to my son. And every moment spent with my family feels like a gift. We don’t need luxury—we just need each other. I thank God every day for this peaceful and loving life.
